What is the meaning of Taza Ayurveda?
Taza Ayurveda is a combination of two Indian words: Taza, meaning ”fresh,” and Ayurveda, meaning “knowledge of life.” While Ayurveda is the science the brand brings to the world, Taza symbolizes the bold freshness one feels when living an Ayurvedic life.

All of our products are vegan, except for our Kumkumadi (Nighttime Facial Oil), which contains milk. In Ayurveda, milk is considered extremely nourishing and sattvic: balancing and enlivening. When applied topically, it can soothe and cool irritated or inflamed skin. At the same time, its fat and lactic acid promote a soft, supple complexion.
Are your products organic?
We strive to source 100% pure and natural raw materials directly from Mother Nature. That means that, while we use environmentally friendly, sustainable harvesting practices, our products are not yet USDA certified organic. To avoid deforestation, most of the herbs featured in Taza products are harvested by Indian tribals living in forest areas, where these herbs have been naturally grown and harvested for hundreds of years. The government of India has restricted access to these areas to specific tribal groups and associations to provide livelihood to these marginalized groups.

Why do your oils slightly vary in color and scent?
At Taza ,we pride ourselves on authenticity. While all of our oils use time-honored formulations and techniques, the complex influences of Mother Nature cause slight variations within the oils — similar to the variance you experience with a naturally harvested wine or tea.
Why does Taza use sesame oil as the carrier oil?
Sesame oil has been treasured over centuries for its nourishing benefits. Beyond its favorable vitamins and fatty acids, its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-bacterial properties make it beneficial for all skin types. The high viscosity of the oil also define it as an excellent carrier for our botanical ingredients.
How should I incorporate Taza oils into my regimen?
Taza oils are best applied to damp skin, making them ideal directly after cleansing. While our oils are multipurpose and designed to keep your skin hydrated and vibrant, we do recommend applying sunscreen prior to outdoor exposure. When combining skincare products, remember to move from lightest to heaviest for superior results.
Will using oils cause my skin to break out?
Despite conventional perceptions, oils are often far better for skin than toners, lotions, and creams. Our bodies naturally produce oil to moisturize our skin. Therefore, applying Taza’s nutrient-rich, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial oils actually helps enhance and balance our bodies’ natural function. In contrast, traditional skincare products, with potentially harsh chemical additives, can disrupt that function and lead to skin irritation and breakouts.
Can I use Taza oils in my eye area?
Taza oils offer tremendous hydration, making them wonderful for use on the upper and lower eyelid area. However, they will cause discomfort if put directly into the eye, as they are for external use only.
